London Bike Show 2018
Injury prevention and conditioning for Triathlon; a practical approach
14:45 - 15:30 (Saturday)
From a young age, sport and fitness have always been an integral part of Nick’s life. As a teenager, he competed at national level in a variety of sports including: swimming, cross country running and athletics. These experiences later transferred well into triathlon where Nick enjoyed a successful career as a British Elite Triathlete.
Aside from his sporting talents, Nick has a BSc Hons in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Sheffield and an MRes in Human Sciences from the University of Loughborough. His extensive scientific knowledge on the functioning of the human body, coupled with his background of being an elite athlete, has given Nick the perfect platform to develop a successful career as a Strength and Conditioning Coach, specialising in Sports Injury Rehabilitation.
Nick works closely with some of the country's leading Physiotherapists and works with a vast range of clients, from adults through to teenagers and children. Many of the clients that Nick works with present a catalogue of injuries that range from ACL tears, post op ITB surgery, hip bursitis, rotator cuff weaknesses and postural related dysfunction.”
